BONUS MIX - LANEGAN

Is 2008 The Year of Lanegan? Earlier this year, the debut album from The Gutter Twins arrived, followed up by a killer EP. And this week sees the stateside release of Mark's second strong outing with quite possibly one of the most unlikely collaborators - Isobel Campbell. The man has been on a tear since the Trees dissolved in the mid 90s - Queens of the Stone Age, Desert Sessions, Twilight Singers, Soulsavers, and the numerous guest spots where his vocals are going to feel like a fist to the jaw. This bonus comp was recently compiled for the Postcard Listserv - and revisits just his proper solo material (as well as the EP that preceded his latest solo album, Bubblegum). Our esteemed colleague at Adios Lounge said it best: "Lanegan has quietly amassed one of the best catalogs of the last 20 years. How many other acts can you point to who have only a handful of missteps in that time span?" So, go on home, the sex theater is closed - download the mix in full here or listen below.
